Barbra Schlifer Clinic provides free and integrated legal, counselling, interpretation, information and referral services for women who have experienced violence.

Toronto Rape Crisis Centre/Multicultural Women Against Rape
 is a grassroots, women-run collective working towards a violence-free world by providing anti-oppressive, feminist peer support to survivors of sexual violence through support, education and activism.

Catholic Family Services of Toronto
 is a not-for-profit, community based agency providing counselling, wellness groups and marriage preparation and family life programs.

Opportunities for Advancement
 works with women in disadvantaged life situations, supporting women to achieve greater economic sufficiency, increased personal well-being, and enhanced participation in their communities.

SHELTERS

Robertson House offers short-term emergency shelter for homeless women 16 years of age and over with children, or young, pregnant homeless women.

Red Door Family Shelter
 helps homeless families in Toronto get back on their feet, including women and children fleeing violence, refugees and other families needing safe, supportive housing in an emergency have found it here.

Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter
 provides a safe haven including shelter, resources and food for mothers and their children who have been the victims of domestic violence.

YWCA Toronto offers shelter and housing, support services and employment training for women and girls.

CAMPS FOR FAMILIES & CHILDREN

Moorelands Community Services works with more than 1500 Toronto children and youth affected by poverty, to provide them with positive and fun experiences, including day and sleepaway camp, to help strengthen their confidence, competence and character.

Boundless
 is dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged youth, adults and children at risk through a unique combination of counselling, community supports, a high school program and outdoor adventure recreation.

AMICI Camping Charity
 is an organization which raises funds to send financially challenged boys and girls to summer camps.

Arts for Children of Toronto
 is a multi-disciplinary arts day camp program which introduces campers to the magic of the arts as well as traditional camp activities. The camp is accessible to families who cannot afford to send their child to a summer camp program.

FOOD & CLOTHING

The Scott Mission is a Christian, non-denominational urban mission responding to the needs of the poor, homeless, abandoned and vulnerable of all ages, providing food and shelter for 50,000 people each year.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul
 has several programs to help families in crisis, including emergency accommodation, longer-term housing, and low-cost clothing and beds.

The Stop Community Food Centre
 works to increase people’s access to healthy good in a manner that maintains dignity, builds community, and challenges inequality.

COMMUNITY SERVICES

Youth Assisting Youth is a mentoring program which matches youth volunteers, aged 16 to 24, in one-on-one relationships to provide positive role models for ‘at risk’ children aged 6-15.

Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Toronto 
matches adults over the age of 19 to children between the ages of 6 and 18 in a one-to-one mentoring relationship that is fun and rewarding to both.

Northwood Community Centre
 is part of the Northwood Neighbourhood Services Network, supporting residents in the area bounded by Keele Street, Grandravine Avenue, Jane Street and Downsview Dells.

Jane/Finch Community and Family Centre
 is a community-based organization driven by passion, innovation and a strong commitment to social justice, community engagement and collaboration.

Youth Employment Services (YES)
 provides employment counselling, training and job placement services for those youth who are at-risk and disadvantaged, and provides business skills training to youth who want to start their own business.
